The city

What to expect from Itabira.

Itabira is the birthplace of Carlos Drummond de Andrade and a city shaped by mining. The Caminhos Drummondianos and the Casa de Drummond form the literary route in the municipal seat. In Ipoema, a district of the municipality, the Museu do Tropeiro adds another historical perspective to the journey along the Caminho dos Diamantes.
