The guide
Cidade Turismo is a travel guide built city by city, now also in the Czech Republic. For each place you'll find things to do, attractions with their own page, when to go and how to get there.
The guide has three ways in, so you can start wherever you like: routes, which link towns along one journey; destinations, which are the tourist regions; and the regions, with the main cities in each one.
The texts are written from official tourism sources, such as national and regional tourism offices, national parks and city halls, and new cities and routes keep being added to the guide.

Where to start
Six cities from the guide, changing every day.

České Budějovice is the seat of South Bohemia. The Přemysl Otakar II square brings together arcades, the town hall and the fountain, with the Black Tower nearby. The city also serves as a base for Hluboká Castle and the rural façades of Holašovice.

Pilsen, Plzeň on signs, brings together the Cathedral of St. Bartholomew in Republic Square, the Great Synagogue and Adolf Loos’s interiors. The center allows walking between different architectural eras. The history of the pilsner style explains part of the local culture and the region’s link to hop cultivation.

Kroměříž brings together the archiepiscopal palace, its adjacent park and the Flower Garden. The two gardens have different designs and locations. The town lets you combine interior halls and outdoor walks, with an urban walk linking the main sectors of the heritage complex.

Prague is spread across both banks of the Vltava. Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square form the initial axis. Josefov concentrates the Jewish Museum; the National Museum, Vyšehrad and Petřín help vary routes and alternate indoor spaces, gardens and viewpoints.

Český Krumlov sits on a bend of the Vltava, with a historic center, a castle on the hillside and the Church of São Vito above the roofs. Bridges and narrow streets connect the sections of the old core. The layout favors exploring on foot, with pauses to view the town from both banks.

Litomyšl has the elongated Smetana square, with arcaded houses and façades from various periods. The Portmoneum features domestic interiors covered by the paintings of Josef Váchal. The town allows a stroll through the historic centre and small-scale art, with walking connections between the areas.
