What to expect from Niterói.

Niterói is on the east shore of the Baía de Guanabara, opposite Rio de Janeiro. It features the Museu de Arte Contemporânea, a project by Oscar Niemeyer, viewpoints at Parque da Cidade and a set of historic forts. In the Região Oceânica there are beaches such as Itacoatiara, Camboinhas and Itaipu, popular for surfing, short trails and coastal scenery. The urban waterfront of Icaraí complements the visit.
