The local experience
An artificial beach on the shores of Lago de Itaipu, less than 5 kilometers from downtown, with more than 800 meters of waterfront. It has a camping area, a pier for fishing and jet skis, a sand court and views of the sunset over the lake.
At 26 meters tall, the statue is said to be the largest depiction of the patron saint in southern Brazil and has a chapel inside. On October 12, the feast of Nossa Senhora Aparecida draws thousands of pilgrims from the region.
