About Balneário Jacutinga
Balneário Jacutinga is Itaipulândia's beach, in western Paraná. It sits on the shores of Lago de Itaipu, formed by the dam's reservoir, and is an artificial freshwater beach, with sand along the lakeshore.
The waterfront stretches more than 800 meters. Part of it is reserved for swimming and protected by a net. Around it there are restrooms, showers, a playground, a sand court, an outdoor gym and kiosks.
The beach draws both day visitors and campers. The camping areas are in the woods and near the pier; the center of the waterfront is reserved for daytime use. In summer it gets very busy, with lifeguards and security on the beach.
It is an easy outing on flat ground, good for families with children. In the late afternoon, the sunset over the lake is one of the most beautiful moments of the place.
