About Praia de Tambaba

Praia de Tambaba (beach) is in Conde, on the Costa do Conde, on the south coast of Paraíba. It is known as the first official nudist beach in Northeast Brazil, but it is divided into two sections, separated by a small rocky hill: a regular one, open to everyone in swimwear, and a nudist one.

The scenery is a cove surrounded by cliffs, coconut palms and forest. In the regular section, dark rocks break the force of the waves and form natural pools at low tide. One of the rocks in the sea has a lone coconut palm on top and has become the symbol of the beach.

The regular section has the facilities, with parking, chair rentals and snack bars. From the clifftops, viewpoints overlook the coast, including the colorful cliffs of neighboring Praia da Arapuca.

The nudist section has its own rules: nudity is mandatory, men may not enter unaccompanied, and photographing other people without permission and any obscene behavior are prohibited. If you don't practice naturism, you can enjoy the beach as usual in the regular section.
