About Praia de Jacumã
Jacumã is the most developed and busiest beach in Conde, on the south coast of Paraíba. It is the hub of the Costa do Conde: most of the area's pousadas (guesthouses), bars, restaurants and shops are here, which makes it the base for visiting neighboring beaches such as Tabatinga, Coqueirinho and Tambaba.
The sea is calm, good for swimming, and the waterfront has coconut palms, trees and stretches of sand between the houses and the avenue. A rock formation with a hole through it separates Jacumã from Praia do Amor; according to local tradition, a couple who walks under the arch will stay together forever.
On the waterfront is the Praça do Mar, an open space by the beach that is a meeting point in the late afternoon. Many buggy tours of the cliffs and beaches of the Costa do Conde also leave from Jacumã.
Because it has town facilities, it is the easiest beach in the area for families, older travelers and anyone who doesn't want to deal with trails or cliff descents.

In the drier months, from September to March, in the morning for a swim and late in the afternoon for the Praça do Mar.
How to get there
It is in the municipality of Conde, on the south coast of Paraíba. From João Pessoa, the easiest way is by car along the PB-008, following the signs to Jacumã. There are city buses from João Pessoa to the area.
