About Cachoeiras Serra da Bodoquena
The Cachoeiras Serra da Bodoquena is a private attraction in rural Bodoquena, in Mato Grosso do Sul, about 70 km from Bonito. The tour takes place on a ranch crossed by the Betione River, a crystal-clear river typical of the Serra da Bodoquena limestone region.
The main program is a short trail through the riverside forest, with bridges and well-marked stretches, that passes eight waterfalls. At several of them there are swimming stops in natural pools, and at some you can stand under the falls.
Besides the trail, the property offers raft rides on the river, kayaking, a zipline over the water and ATV rides, the last charged separately. There is a restaurant serving home-style lunch and lodging on the ranch itself.
The physical effort is low, and the relaxed pace, with many stops, appeals to families. If you just want to walk and swim, you can do the tour with no special fitness.
