About Piscinas Naturais de Pitimbu
The Pitimbu natural pools are in the open sea, off Praia de Pitimbu, the town beach, on the south coast of Paraíba. They are also known as the Farol (lighthouse) natural pools.
They only appear at low tide. When the water recedes, shallow, clear stretches emerge between the reefs, where you can stand, float and look at the seabed.
The trip is by boat, leaving from the Praia de Pitimbu waterfront. Local fishermen take small groups. Since the spot is still little known, it is a quieter alternative to other natural pools in Northeast Brazil.
The outing only requires getting in and out of the boat in shallow water. It is not recommended for people with limited mobility.
