Praia de Quatro Ilhas (beach) is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in Bombinhas, on the north coast of Santa Catarina. It sits on the side of the peninsula facing the open sea, and its name comes from the four islands you can see from the sand, on the horizon.
The beach has more than a kilometer of sand and two faces. The left end is sheltered, with calm, clear water, good for families, snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding. The right end gets waves and is the spot for surfers.
Facilities are good for a natural beach: there are public restrooms, lifeguards in the high season and easy access, plus kiosks and restaurants nearby. In summer the beach fills up, and arriving early makes a difference.
It is an easy visit, with no trail, and suits all ages. If you like walking, you can follow the rocky shores and trails that link Quatro Ilhas to the neighboring beaches.

It is in Bombinhas, on the side of the peninsula facing the open sea, near downtown. You get there by car, taxi or ride-hailing app through the streets of the Quatro Ilhas neighborhood; access to the sand is easy, with no trail. In high season, parking is hard to find.
Tip
For snorkeling, stay at the left end and go on a day without south wind, when the water is clearer.
