About Mirante Eco 360
The Mirante Eco 360 (viewpoint) is at the top of the Morro do Macaco, in Bombinhas, on the Santa Catarina coast. It is a private viewpoint with an entrance fee, built on the rocks at the top of the hill. From up there the view wraps around the peninsula: on one side the calm cove of Zimbros and Canto Grande, on the other the open sea and Praia do Mariscal.
The climb is short. You drive to the base, along the road to Praia da Tainha, and from there walk up a trail with stairs. The last stretch crosses a steeper rock, with a handrail to help.
Along the way there are smaller viewpoints before the main one and a small natural history museum. If you want a different way down, there is a zip line, paid separately. On clear days, the view reaches nearby towns such as Governador Celso Ramos and Tijucas.
The outing suits almost anyone who can climb stairs without difficulty. It is not wheelchair accessible, because of the steps and the rock at the end of the climb.
