About Praia de Laranjeiras

Praia de Laranjeiras (beach) is a small cove on the south side of Balneário Camboriú, just past the hill that closes off the Praia Central. It is surrounded by hills covered in Atlantic Forest and is the first of the wilder beaches linked by the Rodovia Interpraias.

The sea is usually calm, with clear greenish water, which makes it one of the most popular beaches for families with children. Even though it is close to downtown, the setting is very different: lots of greenery and few buildings along the sand.

Part of the fun is getting there. You can arrive by boat from Barra Sul, by the Parque Unipraias cable car, which links Barra Sul to Laranjeiras over the top of the hill, or by car along the Interpraias. The cable car station is a short walk from the sand.

By the beach there is a small cluster of restaurants, shops and water activities, such as banana boat rides. It is the wilder beach with the most facilities in the city, and therefore also the busiest in season.
