About Náutico Praia Clube
Náutico Praia Clube is a water club in Caldas Novas, in southern Goiás, set on the shore of Lago de Corumbá (lake). The lake is the reservoir formed by the Corumbá hydroelectric dam, built in the late 1980s, and it gives the club very different scenery from the parks downtown.
The facilities include a wave pool, water slides, a large hot tub under tents, a swim-up bar, a beach volleyball court and bungalows for resting. Not all the pools are warm: each has its own temperature, and some have cold water.
The lakeshore is part of the outing. Schooner rides on Lago de Corumbá leave from there, telling the story of the dam, and late afternoon usually brings a fine sunset over the water.
Since it is outside downtown, the club tends to be calmer and especially appeals to families with children, who have their own pirate-themed areas with water play equipment. You can spend the whole day without leaving.

Best time
Hot, dry days from May to September have clear skies over the lake and lovely sunsets; since some of the pools have cold water, the hottest days are the most pleasant.
How to get there
It is outside downtown Caldas Novas, on Avenida Caminho do Lago, on the shore of Lago de Corumbá (lake). Access is by car, taxi or transfer from town.
Tip
Arrive early to get a shaded spot near the pools and, if you want to take the schooner ride, ask about departure times as soon as you arrive. Bring sunscreen: the sun by the lake is strong.
