About Aquário Natural Baía Bonita
The Aquário Natural is one of the best-known snorkeling floats in Bonito, about 7 km from downtown. The name, meaning "Natural Aquarium," says it all: the spring and river have water so clear that it feels like swimming inside an aquarium, surrounded by fish.
The tour begins with a short walk along wooden boardwalks through the forest to the spring. There, in a wetsuit, life jacket and mask, the group floats slowly down the Baía Bonita River to where it meets the Rio Formoso, a stretch of about 800 to 900 meters.
Underwater you see schools of fish, aquatic plants and the riverbed, all very sharp. Guides accompany the group the whole time.
It is considered the ideal tour for beginners and families with children, because the stretch is short and the water is calm. The main building has a restaurant with a deck, a pool and a rest area, and there is also a wildlife-watching trail.
