About Morro do Filetti
Morro do Filetti (hill) is a peak about 1,110 meters above sea level near downtown Venda Nova do Imigrante, in the Espírito Santo mountains. It is one of the town's best-known viewpoints, reached from the BR-262.
At the top is a launch ramp for hang gliding and paragliding. Takeoffs depend on the wind, which needs to blow from the north.
Even if you do not fly, the drive up is worth it for the view. From the top you see the town spread across the valley, the surrounding mountains and, on clear days, Pedra Azul in the distance. Rock walls and forest cover the nearby slopes.
The outing is short and requires no fitness. The last stretch is a steep, narrow dirt road that calls for careful driving. At the top the ground is grass, with no paving.
