About Cachoeira da Concórdia
Cachoeira da Concórdia (waterfall) is in the community of Concórdia, in the rural area of Vargem Alta, in southern Espírito Santo. The area was one of the first settled by the Italian immigrants who came to the municipality, and it is still a countryside of small farms, hills and forest.
The water cascades over a rock slab and spreads into a wide pool, surrounded by large rocks and dense vegetation. It is a place to sit on the rocks, dip your feet and spend a few hours in the shade.
The pools are shallow, which makes the waterfall a good choice for families with children. Even so, the wet rocks are slippery and call for care.
The waterfall is on private property, but visitors are allowed in. Do not expect park facilities: bring what you need and take your trash back with you.
