About Mirante do Encanto
The Mirante do Encanto (viewpoint) is an observation tower at the top of the Morro do Cabeço, in the Canto da Praia neighborhood, in the northern part of Itapema. The structure is about 26 meters high and was built so visitors can see the city and the coast from above.
The tower has four levels open to the public. You go up by the stairs or the panoramic elevator, which has sea views on the way up. One of the levels has a space with crafts and souvenirs, benches and landscaping.
From the top, the view is 360 degrees. You see the Itapema waterfront with its buildings, Canto da Praia with its anchored boats, the hills covered in Atlantic Forest and part of the Costa Esmeralda. There are binoculars on the railings for a closer look at the scenery.
The outing is relaxed and suits all ages. Access has ramps, an elevator and accessible restrooms, which makes it easier for people with reduced mobility. Entry is free.
