About Hot Park

Hot Park is the water park of the Rio Quente resort complex, in Rio Quente, in southern Goiás. Its charm is the water: it all comes from the region's thermal springs and reaches the pools naturally warm, close to body temperature, with no artificial heating.

The highlight is the Praia do Cerrado, a large artificial beach with a strip of sand, loungers and a wave pool. Around it, the park spreads out among palm trees and gardens, with pools linked by bridges, a lazy river for tubing and shaded rest areas.

For thrill-seekers, there are water slides of all levels, from the gentlest to the most extreme, plus a zip line and other adventure activities. Children have their own areas, with water play equipment and shallow pools.

The park works well for families and groups of all ages. The areas are large and the day involves a lot of walking. Some rides have minimum height and weight, age or health restrictions; pregnant women cannot use some of the attractions.

Practical information

How much time to set aside

Set aside the whole day; you need at least a full day to enjoy it without rushing.

Best time

Since the water is warm all year, the park is enjoyable in any season; in the winter months (June to August) the contrast between the cool air and the hot water is even nicer, and arriving early helps you hit the attractions with shorter lines.

How to get there

It is in the town of Rio Quente (GO), next to Caldas Novas, inside the resort complex named after the town. The easiest way is by car or by transfer from Caldas Novas, whose airport serves the region.

Tip

Bring sunscreen, flip-flops and a towel, and drink plenty of water: the warm water and the sun tire you out more than you think. The park is not open every day of the week for part of the year; check the calendar and hours on the official website before you go.
