Android app

App
privacy policy.

Updated on September 25, 2026. Applies to the app br.com.mxtecnologia.cidadeturismo.

The app shows the same website, with the same account. So everything in the privacy policy applies, plus what is here.

Biometrics

If you turn on fingerprint sign-in, the app creates a random identifier for your device and stores it protected by Android. That identifier is what reaches us, in irreversible form, also as a hash.

Your fingerprint is never sent to us, and we have no access to it. Android itself reads and checks the fingerprint; the app only receives the answer "yes, it's the device owner" or "no".

You can turn off biometrics at any time in the app. The link to that device is revoked and can no longer be used to sign in.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app receives from Google's Firebase a push token: the address the notification is sent to. We keep that token linked to your account, so we know where to send it.

The token doesn't say who you are or where you are, and we use it only to send notices about content in the guide. If you decline notifications, none of this is stored, and the rest of the app works the same way.

When you tap a notification, the app always opens a cidadeturismo.com.br address; it rejects any other.

What the app does NOT collect

  • It doesn't ask for or use your location.
  • It doesn't access contacts, calendar, messages or call history.
  • It doesn't access the photos on your device, except the one you choose to upload.
  • It has no ads and uses no third-party trackers.

Google and Firebase

Notifications go through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service, which delivers the message to your device. Google handles that data under its own policy.

Deleting

Uninstalling the app deactivates the notification token. To delete the account and everything linked to it, ask through the contact page: it applies to the website and the app, because the account is the same.
