How many days

One day is enough for Dia Beacon and Main Street. With two days you can add the Storm King Art Center and the climb up Mount Beacon.

When to go

From spring through fall, when Storm King is open and the trails are dry; October often brings peak fall colors. Dia Beacon is open year-round on specified days. In winter, cold and snow can make the Mount Beacon trail slippery.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

For Dia Beacon and Main Street, no: everything is close to the station and there is local bus service. For Storm King, on the other side of the river, you need a car or taxi. Drive on the right.
