XNA is about 25 km southwest, served by taxis, ride apps and rental cars. I-49 connects Bentonville to Fayetteville, about 40 km away, and continues south. Kansas City is about four hours by car, and Tulsa about two hours.

How many days

One day for Crystal Bridges and downtown. With two days you can add The Momentary, a morning of biking on the trails and the Pea Ridge battlefield.

When to go

April, May, September and October are the months most popular with cyclists. In summer the heat favors early rides. In winter the museum remains open and the trails can be muddy.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

Not downtown: the square, Crystal Bridges and The Momentary are linked by sidewalks and trails, and there are bike rentals. For Pea Ridge and for Eureka Springs, yes you will. Drive on the right.
