How many days

With two days you can see the city’s essentials; a third day allows you to visit the two major museums without rushing.

When to go

Between October and April afternoons are pleasant; in summer, start early and leave museums for midday. During Ramadan, the city comes alive after sunset.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No: traffic is heavy and confusing for those unfamiliar with the city. Use taxis, ride-hailing apps or the metro.
