About Gros Morne Discovery Centre
The Discovery Centre sits atop a hill near Woody Point, with large windows facing Bonne Bay and the Tablelands. It is Parks Canada’s interpretation centre dedicated to the park’s geology and nature.
The exhibits explain, with models, rock samples and panels, how plate tectonics formed Gros Morne and why the park is a World Heritage Site. There are rooms about the animals, plants and the people who lived on the coast. The centre also has information about trails and the schedule of guided walks.
A short trail leaves from the terrace up the hill. The centre is open in the summer season; check the dates.
