Only by sea: boats leave from Ilulissat and take about an hour, crossing the mouth of the Icefjord. In winter, access depends on sea ice: check before you go.
How many days
One night allows a tour of the settlement, a walk over the hills and an evening on the bay. With two nights, you can do a longer tundra hike.
When to go
In summer, when there are more boats and the tundra is snow-free. On clear summer nights, the low light illuminates the icebergs.
