About Jackson Town Square
Jackson’s central square, officially George Washington Memorial Park, is the town’s meeting point. At the four entrances stand arches made from thousands of elk antlers, which the animals naturally shed every winter in the nearby national refuge and are collected by local scouts.
Around the square, plank-covered sidewalks and wooden facades evoke Old West towns, with shops, art galleries and cowboy bars. In summer, the square often features an Old West gunfight reenactment at dusk; in winter, the trees and arches are illuminated.
The downtown area is small and walkable, with the Snow King ski hill just a few blocks away.
