About Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
The Jackson Hole ski resort is in Teton Village, at the foot of the Teton Range, about 20 km from downtown Jackson. Opened in 1965, it is known for very steep terrain, with more than 1,200 meters of vertical drop between the base and the top of Rendezvous Mountain.
The red tram rises from the village to about 3,185 meters in a few minutes. From the top there are difficult runs and the entrance to Corbet's Couloir, a narrow rocky chute that has become a symbol of the resort. The mountain also has beginner areas and intermediate runs on the lower mountain and at Après Vous.
In summer the tram and gondola operate for sightseeing, and the mountain offers hiking, mountain biking and paragliding.
