About Frazier History Museum
The Frazier History Museum occupies a former commercial building on West Main Street, in the block known as Whiskey Row, where warehouses and distillery offices stood in the 19th century. It is Louisville’s most visited history museum.
The exhibits explain the formation of the state, from the trails opened by pioneers to the conflicts of the Civil War, with weapons, documents and reconstructions. There are live performances with actors at scheduled times.
The museum is the official starting point for the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The bourbon exhibit explains the origin of the drink, the rules that define what can bear that name and the process, from corn to barrel. Maps and information to plan a distillery route are available there.
Tastings offered by the museum are for those 21 and over, with ID.
