The city
Largest city in Kentucky, on the south bank of the Ohio River, across from Indiana. It’s the home of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby, the Louisville Slugger baseball bat, and Muhammad Ali. Main Street preserves 19th-century cast-iron facades that now house museums and bourbon distilleries, and an old railroad bridge has been converted into a riverside pedestrian walkway.
