How many days

When to go
From May to September, when cruise ships arrive and tours operate. Rain falls on many days of the year, more than in almost any U.S. city; bring a raincoat in any month. From July to September, salmon run up the streams.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
No. Downtown streets are close to each other, and local buses and tours go to Totem Bight and other points along the road. Drive on the right.
