About Cedar Point

Cedar Point began in 1870 as a bathing area on a sandy peninsula of Lake Erie and grew into one of the world’s best‑known amusement parks for its roller coasters. There are 18 roller coasters, including the 94‑meter Millennium Force, the hybrid wooden‑and‑steel Steel Vengeance, the Magnum XL‑200 and the Maverick.

Besides the coasters, the park has classic rides like a carousel and a Ferris wheel, the Camp Snoopy kids’ area featuring the Peanuts characters, shows and a roughly 1.5‑km beach on Lake Erie. In autumn, Halloween weekends transform the park with decorations and haunted houses.

Many roller coasters have minimum height requirements, and lines for the most popular rides exceed an hour on busy days. The park is operated by Six Flags.
