Cleveland sits in northeastern Ohio on the shore of Lake Erie, at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. A steel and industrial city in the 19th and 20th centuries, it was there that radio host Alan Freed helped popularize the expression rock and roll in the 1950s, and for that reason the city received the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, in a glass pyramid designed by I. M. Pei beside the lake.

East of downtown, University Circle brings together the Cleveland Museum of Art, with a collection ranging from ancient Egypt to Picasso, Severance Hall concert venue and the botanical garden. Across the river, in Ohio City, the West Side Market has operated since 1912 in a brick shed with a clock tower. South of the city, Cuyahoga Valley National Park protects the river valley, with waterfalls, trails and a scenic railroad.

About 95 km to the west, Sandusky lies on a bay of Lake Erie and is the base for Cedar Point, an amusement park opened in 1870 on a peninsula, known for its many roller coasters. Next to the entrance is the Cedar Point Shores water park.

This destination brings together 2 cities: Cleveland, Sandusky.
