The city
Main commercial center of Cape Cod on the peninsula’s southern side, part of the town of Barnstable. The main street has shops, restaurants and the museum dedicated to John F. Kennedy, who spent summers in Hyannis Port nearby. Ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard depart from the harbor. Nearby are calm-water beaches like Craigville Beach, and the start of the bike path that crosses the middle of the peninsula.
