The city
Victorian mountain town in the Ozarks, built in the late 19th century around natural springs on a steep hillside of winding streets and stairways. The historic center, with stone and wood houses, galleries and shops, is fully protected. Nearby are Thorncrown Chapel, a big-cat refuge, and, farther south, the Buffalo River.
