When to go
From spring through fall, when the sailboats head out onto the bay; in October the boat show usually fills the city. Summers are hot and humid. The Naval Academy’s graduation at the end of May also attracts many visitors.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
Not for downtown, which is small and walkable. Parking in the historic center is difficult: there are public garages and shuttle buses from them.
