About Agiba Beach
Agiba is about 28 km west of central Marsa Matruh, in a cove surrounded by white limestone cliffs. A staircase leads down from the top of the cliff to the sandy beach, between natural caves carved by the sea.
The water is clear and blue‑turquoise, with rocks and natural pools at the cove’s edges. From the top of the cliff, a viewpoint shows the whole beach and coastline.
In the summer season the beach receives many Egyptian holidaymakers. Outside that season the sea is usually rougher and there are fewer services.
The road to the cove passes other white‑sand beaches west of town, and the route is often combined with a visit to Cleopatra’s Bath.
