How many days
Two days for the Blue Hole, the central reefs and an afternoon at the lagoon; with a third day, the hike to the protected area to the north. For dive courses or seasons, one week or more.
When to go
The water is fine for swimming any month. From autumn to spring the days are milder; at the height of summer the heat intensifies; winter nights call for a light jacket. There is wind almost every day.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
No. The centre, the promenade and the reefs by the beach can be done on foot. For the Blue Hole, the lagoon and Saint Catherine there are taxis, Bedouin pickup rides and organised tours.
