About Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo (BAMZ)
The Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo (BAMZ) is in Flatts Village, on the north shore of the Harrington Sound channel. It opened in 1926 and is run by the government with support from the Bermuda Zoological Society.
The aquarium displays the fish, corals and other animals from the reefs and waters around the islands. The centerpiece is a large tank that recreates the North Rock reef, north of Bermuda, with corals and schools of fish. There are also sea turtles and seals.
The zoo focuses on island animals, with areas on Australasia, Madagascar and the Caribbean, flamingos in an outdoor pond and aviaries of tropical birds. The natural history museum explains the formation of Bermuda, marine life and conservation efforts to protect native species.

How to get there
On North Shore Road in Flatts Village. Buses between Hamilton and St. George's stop in front; you can also get there by taxi or scooter.

Start at the North Rock tank: it’s the best way to see up close the reef that surrounds the islands.
