  • L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA) St. George's · 15 km
  • Hamilton Ferry Terminal 1 km

Approximate distances. Check flights and bus, train or boat schedules before you travel.

From L.F. Wade Airport, about 15 km away, by taxi or public bus. The ferry terminal is on Front Street with lines to the Royal Naval Dockyard, Southampton, Paget and Warwick, and the central bus terminal is on Washington Street.

How many days

One day for the centre, the cathedral, Fort Hamilton and the BUEI. The town serves as a base for the whole trip: from there you can take day trips to St. George’s, the Dockyard and the South Shore beaches.

When to go

Year-round. From May to October the harbour is busier and there are more ferries; from December to March the air is mild and the centre has fewer visitors. At the end of May the Bermuda Day holiday usually features a street parade.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. The centre is small and flat near the water, and buses and ferries depart from the town. Visitors are not allowed to rent standard cars; electric minicars and scooters are rented by those who want to get around on their own.
