About Horseshoe Bay Beach
Horseshoe Bay is Bermuda’s best-known and most photographed beach, a horseshoe-shaped cove on the South Shore of Southampton. The pink sand stretches between limestone rocks, and on calm days the water shows turquoise-blue tones.
It is the island’s most developed beach: lifeguards from May to October, restrooms, chair and umbrella rentals, snorkel gear hire and a seasonal kiosk. For that reason it is also the busiest, especially on days when cruise ships are in the Dockyard.
To the east, the South Shore Park trails cross the dunes and cliffs to Warwick Long Bay, passing smaller coves. On Good Friday the beach usually hosts the kite festival, a Bermuda tradition, and in summer it is the site of local parties and events.
