About Durango Cable Car
Durango’s cable car links two hills on the edge of the historic center, Cerro del Calvario and Cerro de los Remedios, in a crossing above the city’s rooftops.
From the cabins and lookout points you can see the cathedral towers, church domes, the streets of the center and the surrounding mountain ranges. At the top of Cerro de los Remedios sits the sanctuary of Our Lady of the Remedies, with a viewpoint in front.
Late afternoon is the most popular time, when the sun sets behind the mountains and the city lights come on.
Both hills have stairways and streets that descend to the center, and you can walk back, passing through old streets and small squares in the upper part of the city.
