What is Paraty Cachaça, Culture and Flavors Festival

The Paraty Cachaça, Culture and Flavors Festival has taken place since 1983, when it was still called the Festival da Pinga. It was created by the town’s producers to promote the artisanal cachaça made in Paraty since the colonial period.

For four days, the region’s alambiques set up booths for tasting and sale alongside caiçara food stalls, workshops, lectures and shows. The festival is usually held in the tents pitched at Pontal, facing the bay.
