About Bob Dylan Center
The Bob Dylan Center opened in 2022 in the Tulsa Arts District, the former warehouse neighborhood north of the downtown rail lines. It houses the musician’s archive, with more than 100,000 items acquired by a Tulsa foundation: handwritten lyrics, notebooks, unreleased recordings, photos, films and instruments.
The exhibition follows Dylan’s career from his beginnings in New York’s folk scene, with audio stations where you can hear different versions of the same songs and see how lyrics changed from draft to draft. A screening room shows films and performances.
A few steps away is the Woody Guthrie Center, dedicated to the Oklahoma-born singer who wrote This Land Is Your Land and influenced Dylan from his youth. The two centers offer a combined ticket.
The Tulsa Arts District brings together galleries, bars, restaurants and a grassy plaza, Guthrie Green, which hosts outdoor concerts on some nights.
