How many days

Two days for the bridge, a trail, and a rafting run; three or four to include the southern overlooks of the park and climbing.

When to go

May through October. Spring brings fuller rivers; summer, warmer water for rafting; autumn, fall colors and Bridge Day. In winter many outfitters pause operations.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

Yes. Park points are spread far apart and there is no public transport. Rafting outfitters provide shuttles between the base and the river. In traffic, drive on the right.
