About Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH), is one of the largest art museums in the United States, with a collection of tens of thousands of works from Antiquity to contemporary art. It is in the Museum District, near Hermann Park.

The complex has three main buildings connected by lit tunnels: the Caroline Wiess Law Building, including an expansion designed by Mies van der Rohe; the Audrey Jones Beck Building, with European and American art; and the Nancy and Rich Kinder Building, for modern and contemporary art. The collection includes Impressionist painting, pre-Columbian, African and Asian art, photography and Latin American art—one of the strongest collections in the country in that area.

Across the street, the Cullen Sculpture Garden by Isamu Noguchi features works by Rodin, Matisse and other sculptors.
