The city
The largest city in Texas, about 80 km from the Gulf of Mexico, home to NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Space Center Houston tells the story of crewed flight; the Museum District groups the Museum of Fine Arts and the Natural Science Museum around Hermann Park, and the Montrose neighborhood has the Menil Collection and the Rothko Chapel. To the east, the San Jacinto monument marks the battle for Texas independence.
