About Moody Gardens

Moody Gardens is an education-and-entertainment complex on the west side of Galveston, known for its three glass pyramids. The Aquarium Pyramid houses tanks with fish, sharks, penguins and seals, including an underwater tunnel; the Rainforest Pyramid recreates a tropical forest with plants, birds, monkeys and butterflies; and the Discovery Pyramid hosts science exhibits.

The complex also includes 3D and special-effects theaters, a paddlewheel boat that tours the bay, a golf course and, in summer, an artificial beach with pools and white sand.

Each attraction has separate admission, and there are passes that combine several of them.
