How many days
Two or three days: one for downtown and the museums, one for Red Rocks and the nearby mountains and, if you have time, one for the botanic garden or an amusement park.
When to go
From May to October, with warm dry days and Red Rocks concerts. Winter brings cold and some snowy days, but also many sunny days; snow usually melts quickly in the city.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
For downtown, no: the commuter train, buses and the free 16th Street shuttle connect the main points. For Red Rocks and the mountains, a car is most practical.
