When to go
From March to May and October to November, with pleasant days; in spring the arboretum usually has abundant blooms. In summer the days are very hot, and museums are good options.

Do you need a car?
For downtown and the arts district, no: light rail and a streetcar link the main points. For the arboretum, Fort Worth and Arlington, a car helps.
