About Great Lakes Science Center
The Great Lakes Science Center sits on Cleveland’s harbor next to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and is aimed at families, with interactive exhibits on physics, energy, technology and the Great Lakes environment.
The museum houses the visitor center for the NASA Glenn Research Center, the agency’s research center in Cleveland, with the Apollo capsule from the Skylab 3 mission, space suits and exhibits about engines and rockets. A giant-screen theater shows nature and science documentaries.
On the adjacent pier is the 1925 freighter William G. Mather, which is open to visitors in season and demonstrates how Great Lakes freighters operated.
