About Sahl Hasheesh
Sahl Hasheesh is a bay about 20 km south of Hurghada, with resorts along a sandy beach and coral reefs close to the shore. A seaside promenade, with cafés and a viewpoint, runs along part of the bay.
Near the beach are columns and blocks from an old construction project that ended partially submerged, known as the sunken city. They can be seen with a mask and snorkel from the beach and attract reef fish.
The bay is quieter than Hurghada and serves as a base for those who want reefs near their hotel.
Sahl Hasheesh’s promenade has a fountain and a viewpoint over the bay, and the area receives fewer boats than Hurghada’s coast, which keeps the water calmer.
